Join us Saturday, Sept. 27th from 12:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. for the fourth annual “100 Thousand Poets & Musicians for Change – St. Louis”! An offshoot of the world-wide events created by Michael Rothenberg and Terri Carrion in 2011 and 2012, “100,000 Poets & Musicians for Change – St. Louis”, is a blending of the largest poetry and music events in history, with hundreds of countries around the world participating in the umbrella events. Recorded by Stanford University for placement in their LOCKSS System, the St. Louis show will be held at the iconic venue Blank Space on Cherokee.

This year’s event will focus on active change, with several local organizations present to give out information and accept donations, including Covenant House, Weekend Angels, LACE, Share My Kickz Foundation, and the Peace Economy Project. Organized by Aja “La’ Starr” Owens and Susan “Spit-Fire” Lively, “100 Thousand Poets & Musicians for Change – St. Louis” is free and open to the public, and beverages and snacks will be provided.

Many gifted and unique voices, both familiar and new, will grace the stage at this year’s event. Featured artists include Ackurate, Susan Trowbridge Adams, Pacia Anderson, Maria Teresa Balogh, Bates, John K. Blair, Can I Speak, Dr. Michael Castro, Charisma Blue, Bell Darris, Robert Dilliard, Adrienne Draper, Cheeraz Gormon, Philip Gounis, Maria Guadalupe, Greg Harris, Knowledge, William Kyle, Laura LeHew, Lightning, Tres Morrison, Jacob Oliver, Poetiq, Dr. Eugene B. Redmond, Ree Cee, Amari Rene, Kevin Renick, Sixteen Bars, FeliceSkye, Surreal Sista, Taylored Poet, Drucilla Wall, Eamon Wall, El Williams III, Jhirmel Wysinger, and Wanita Zumbrunnen.
