Join us Saturday, Sept. 24th from 4:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. for the 6th Annual installment of “100 Thousand Poets & Musicians for Change – St. Louis”! An official offshoot of the world-wide events created by Michael Rothenberg and Terri Carrion, “100,000 Poets & Musicians for Change – St. Louis” is a blending of the largest poetry and music events in history, with hundreds of countries around the world participating in umbrella events. Recorded by Stanford University for placement in their LOCKSS Historical Preservation System, this year’s show will be held at MELT on historic Cherokee Street.

The St. Louis event will focus on active change, with local non-profit organizations present to give out information and accept donations, including Amnesty International, the  Immigrant and Refugee Women’s Program, Hope Over Hunger, Peace Economy Project, Salon des Arts St. Louis, and UrbArts. Organized by Amanda Wells and Susan “Spit-Fire” Lively; “100 Thousand Poets & Musicians for Change – St. Louis” is free and open to the public, and Sister Cities Cajun & BBQ will be in the house with a delectable selection of beverages and food.

A diverse array of powerful and uniquely gifted  voices will grace the stage at this year’s show, including: 3KNGZ, Ackurate, Susan Trowbridge Adams, Kyle Aiko, Kelli Allen, Andro Beat, Sean Arnold, Bates, John K.
