100 Thousand Poets for Change, Tirana, Albania …You can read this
event and ask more about him, asking: “What kind of change? And who
are these poets?” And on September 30, 2017, the answers to your
questions will be very much around the world. The idea initiated by our
friends Michael Rothenberg and Terri Carrion is to inspire the global
community of poets to gather together not in a single place, but in a single
day, to do poetry for the sake of any kind of change they believe is more
necessary, in events organized locally all over the planet. Clearly,
for organizers, “change” is a code word for progressive social
movement towards peace, tolerance and sustainability, but the beauty
of the concept of 100,000 poets for change is that it is completely
decentralized and completely inclusive. So the answer to “who the
poet?” It is everyone and all the poets who want to participate and
the answer to “what difference” is any change that poets want to lead
to the future.

On this day, poets, writers, artists, anyone involved in this movement
promote the idea that poetry and art can unify people of every race,
religion, color, or belief, join together to create and demonstrate,
at the same time, with other communities around the world. This will
change the way we see our local community and the global community.
We’ve all become strangers to each other in recent years. We hardly
know our neighbors in the streets, not the rest, who live and share
our concerns in other places. We should feel this kind of global
solidarity on the 30th, thinking we will empower our ranks through the
motto: “We are all angels, let’s join our wings in our flight to the
future, protesting against social injustice, unemployment and violence
against women , for a healthy family in a healthy society! ”

We, Poets of Art, gathered on September 30, 2017, at the 14th floor of Rosa Blu Cafe at G-Kam Tower, Tirana, Albania, under the lighting of beautiful sun we declare our poems to change the negative phenomena of society for our best and safe future of our children … It is the 7th year that we support the idea initiated by our friend Michael Rothenberg to inspire the global community of poets to gather together not in a single place, but in a single day, to do poetry for the sake of any kind of change they believe is most needed in events organized locally across the planet.

Kozeta Zavalani thanked the poets involved in this movement, promoting the idea that poetry and art can unify people of every race, religion, color, or belief, to unite together to create and demonstrate, at the same time, communities other around the world. This will change the way we see our local community and the global community. This move from its inception had 700 events in 550 cities in 95 countries. This year marks participation in multiple events, and the map of cities from different participating states, each with its own event, looks like heaven on a night full of stars … We have been from the first signatories giving support since has continued throughout these years, regardless of the number of participants. We’ve all become strangers to each other in recent years difficult to know our neighbors in the streets, not the other poets, who live and share our concerns in other places. So we should feel this kind of global solidarity, thinking we will empower our ranks through the motto: “We are all angels, let’s join our wings on our flight to the future, protesting against social injustice, unemployment and violence against women, for a healthy family in a healthy society! ”

Eli Kanina, before reciting his poem, said: “Fortunately, poets have continued to influence life from Plato’s time to the present day. The idea of” change “from a movement of poets and artists is great is not a paradox or a revolt exercise in vanity; it is a “Call for Action”: Because the saying that poets and writers are powerful is not new, indeed. From time immemorial, there were words like “The pen is stronger than the sword.”

Flutura Maçi welcomed this beautiful activity, pointing out: It is a pleasure to say our poetic word on this marked day of world-wide activity “100 000 thousand world poets for change”. We are the artists who will change the world!

Farida Ramadani Zmijani from Shkodra would add: – Rulers and governors all over the world have been wary of writers. So we potentially have to share through poetry and art to change social action, protesting against violence against women, strongly saying our collective voice so that we can hear, change our lives, and do our best.

Mina Caushi, with her humor that characterizes her, stressed that love is essential, in changing the negative phenomena of society, so we poets should be an example for this. A beautiful sunny day, with warmth, and differently said, “Holy .. we passed very beautifully, .. Thank you Kozeta Zavalani, Organizer, for this special day!

Eleonora Niko Qeparoi came from USA for a holiday in her native land together with her spouse Kosta thorn love for hometown, appreciating being poet she stressed. – We are not rich in poets, but we have the richest treasure, treasured treasures, so much as my friends often say: Ah, if I had your life …
