At assembly today I read the poem ‘Learning a language is like ….’ then each class performed a song in a foreign language to the whole school and family and friends. Then this afternoon our 54 P7 pupils (aged 10) read aloud their Peace poems to each other which has been written during International Peace Day last week. These were shared outside in our school’s amphitheatre. These poems were written à la Spanish poet Gloria Fuertes. The poems were then translated into Spanish and will be exchanged with our partner school in Mallorca, who were doing the same activities.
