REPUBLIC OF KOSOVO, KLINA
The worldwide literary-cultural activity “100,000 Poets for Change”, brought together creative writers for children’s literature, students and teachers, who brought together voices from poets around the world for a better, more peaceful and humanistic world.

The ceremony was organized by the League of Poets and Writers “Pegas” branch in Klina, in support of the Cultural Directorate of Klina. Worldwide traditional manifestation, held everywhere with the same motto and on the same date, this year was dedicated to children.

It all came in the name of understanding for peace and the virgin poetic art of the little creators. The Library of the Congress of the Monastery at the premises of the Cultural Center “Echoes of Dukagjini” became the epicenter of dozens of schoolchildren who initially opposed the art exhibition of students of the “Ismet Rraci” school under the direction of painter Sanije T. Dreshaj – Zenunaj. Among the many motifs of the paintings were those of nature, portraits, national and traditional motifs. Then the activity continued with the promotion ceremony and literary class.

A minute’s silence honored the prominent children’s writer Rexhep Hoxha, who passed away two months ago. Officially opening the event, poet and painter Idriz Berisha noted that it is never too much for children to write and paint, as they are a never-ending inspiration.

In the name of the great motto “100,000 Poets for Change”, writer Migena Arllati, who decided to bring this activity to Klina this year, announced that the world would be better off if there was no gender discrimination, between races, between nations, between localities of a country… “You children make this world very beautiful so we creators must write as much about you as you decorate our lives, you decorate our art,” said prof. Arllati before school children of Klina.

Ismet Krasniqi, author of many children’s books, specifically for this activity released a new publication entitled “Rainbow on the fortress”. Krasniqi said that among his many creations, the most loved ones are those dedicated to the little ones. Prend Buzhala pointed the author’s values. He praised the author Krasniqi as a child-loving man and poet, and this is a value that not all creators have.

Speaking of Krasniqi’s new book, Migena Arllati added that the author knows how to find sweet language for young children as he has a pure and sincere spirit like the children themselves.

The event continued with the literary class where poets from Pristina, Drenica, Gjakova, Istog and Klina read: Nebih Bunjaku, Halil Xani, Imer Gllareva, Isa Maloku, Hysen Ymeri, Fazli Ferati, Prend Buzhala and Ismet Krasniqi. All gifted students in writing, present at the event, were given the opportunity to recite their creations. The recitations of Klina elementary school students: Klina, Zllakuqan, Cerovik and Ujmiri were received with enthusiasm by their peers, as well as the teachers who have helped them so far. The applause was also received by the student Valëza Gashi who performed the guitar.

To the best organizers and reciters, Migena Arllati, manager of the LPSHA “Pegasi Albania – Kosovo”, shared the Gratitude with the international activity logo: “100 thousand poets for change” – Read a poem to a child!
