I have prompted several readings in a number of classes at my
children’s school. The Country School, Madison, CT
Several readings will take place at The Country School in Madison, CT:
I will be reading to the first grade and then to the second grade (my
daughter is in the 2nd grade) on Friday, September 27th. I shared
information about the event with the director of curriculum, who
shared it with all of the English teachers, so every class in the
upper school (I believe the 6th – 8th grade) will be doing it. Those
classes all have a hiking field trip that day, so the teachers are all
exchanging ideas of poems related to the woods. The plan, as I
understand it, is that when the classes do circle time in the woods on
a break from hiking, the teachers will read poetry to them.
