In support of its Anthology-in-the-Schools Project, Sixteen Rivers Press (www.sixteenrivers.org) will launch a reading of nine poets from its 2018 anthology, America, We Call Your Name, on September 13 at 4 p.m. PST. The video will be available on YouTube after the launch.
The nine poets: Joshua Bennett, Mai Der Vang, Forrest Hamer, Brenda Hillman, Rick Barot, Camille Dungy, Judy Halebsky, Dante Di Stefano, Evie Shockley.
The anthology was conceived as a response to the crisis confronting the nation after the 2016 election. The project, supported by a generous grant to the press, allows teachers across the country, both in high schools and college, to receive free copies of the anthology for use in their classes.
