ABOUT THE WORKSHOPS/OPEN MICS/SLAMS

SICA (Shore Institute of Contemporary Arts) has offered their location to host the workshops, and Trinity & The Pope has offered their upstairs facilities to host the fundraiser event.

The workshops will be run weekly by Joshua J Ballard, free of charge.

There will be a youth open mic on the last friday of every month, and a quarterly youth slam.

The workshops will bring in guest facilitators every month, and produce a year end literary review containing the works of all youths who participate, and every facilitator throughout the year. The Literary Review will be published through local publishing house Piscataway House Publications.

These things cost money, but are inspiring to young aspiring writers. Here is where you come in.
