100 Thousand Poets for Change coming to Exeter

EXETER — One Hundred Thousand Poets for Change (100 TPC) and One Hundred Thousand Musicians for Change (100 TMC) will be held in Exeter, Saturday, Sept. 29 on the second floor of the Exeter Town Hall in conjunction with the poetry/art exhibit entitled “The Vision and the Word.” The event will be held from 12-4 p.m..

100 TPC and 100 TMC is a global event with the goal of celebrating the energy of the spoken word and music in a public forum. Performances are being held in 115 Countries, 700 events are planned to occur on the same day.

The event in Exeter will be hosted by current Portsmouth Poet Laureate John-Michael Albert. Other poets/musicians and poetry groups include John Perrault, Poets in the Attic, Diana Durham and Dorothy Braker, Julie Dickson, Nick and Sharon Pangaro, Phil and Sue Cassista, Pat O’Brien, Tabbalat, Cleone Graham, Tammi Truax, Ed Pacht, Joann Snow Duncanson, Jonathan Stoker, John Simon, Bill Burtis, and others not yet confirmed. 100 TPC and 100 TMC, Exeter is sponsored in part by Seacoast Peace Response, Veterans for Peace, The Poetry Society of New Hampshire, The Portsmouth Poet Laureate Program, and the Social Justice Committee of the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Exeter.
