A “slam” competition for environmental poetry will be held on September 28, 2013, at the Bancroft Public Library. This will be part of the annual “100 Thousand Poets For Change” worldwide day of poetry. Prizes and certificates will be awarded, including a cash prize for the best poem. Other prize categories will include the most humorous poem and the best *costume.* Additional details will be posted here in the next several days. (This event will be hosted and sponsored by Kathy Figueroa.)
