Don’t forget – Tranna Wintour to Host 100TPC514 this year!

17 - TrannaWintourHeadshotThis year we are honoured to have Tranna host our event. Tranna Wintour is an optimistic, spiritual, happy, raunchy, pop-culture-obsessed, fashion-hungry comedienne. She made her comedy debut at an open mic at the legendary Montreal ComedyWorks, and since that fateful moment the lady has been unstoppable. Tranna has performed in Just for Laughs, Zoofest, Pride Toronto, and her Montreal Fringe Festival 2015 show, TRANTASY, garnered rave reviews. She’s been described by legendary comedienne, Sandra Bernhard, as “a candle in the window on a cold, dark winter’s night.” And Tranna shines that light wherever she performs.

Roger Stéphane creating the next wave of dynamic french writers

12 - Roger Stéphane BlaiseRoger Stéphane represents the next wave of dynamic french writers defying the impoverished poetry market which drowns in this voided canadian culture. His writings, books and live presentations have re-injected the pulse of this forgotten but important writing art, and is (in my opinion) a forecast of a modern return on intellectual influence.

Regimental Oneton, at the intersection of multidisciplinary art

8 - Regimental shirt upSelf-described “bee keeper” Regimental Oneton, has revolutionized the way we view multidisciplinary artists. An accomplished musician, visual artist, and published writer, Regimental Oneton has not only dabbled in several art forms but has produced extensive amounts of quality work and has earned recognition in each discipline. Most commonly identified by the street art world as a well-established graffiti artist, Oneton has worked closely with Fresh Paint Gallery for the past five years. Known for the honest, playful quality of his work, which happens to match his frank yet passionate attitude, his consistently produced large-scale paintings, “I’m the 36 by 48 guy at DeSerres” he jokes, represent the harsh, often darker side of human reality. His use of bright colors balances out the possible perceived morbidity of his work by depicting life’s sweeter, more spontaneous moments. Having produced hundreds of works in the past few years, Oneton is a hard worker to say the least. While his pieces embody elements of graffiti and street art, the quality of his work merits recognition as fine art, especially as his style has evolved and developed over the years. Check out his blog here.
