Genova, 100 Mila Poets to support the “busker”
Genoa – “Piazza Matteotti, in front of Palazzo Ducale, is the symbol of the Genoa that does not forget the glories of the past, but projects every day in the future with the new art enzymes, literature, philosophy, science and information. Genova, 100 Mila Poeti per sostenere i “busker”

Piazza Matteotti, di fronte a Palazzo Ducale, è il luogo simbolo della Genova che non dimentica le glorie del passato, ma si proietta ogni giorno nel futuro con i nuovi fermenti d’arte, letteratura, filosofia, scienza e informazione. Ecco perché la piazza è stata scelta per l’evento dei 100 Thousand Poets, Musicians and Artists for Change (iniziativa di cultura globale che ogni anno si svolge contemporaneamente in centinaia di città sparse nei cinque continenti), che si è tenuto nel pomeriggio di martedì 27 settembre, a sostegno degli artisti che si guadagnano da vivere eseguendo performance all’aperto. Gli organizzatori, il regista Mario Morales Molfino e il poeta Roberto Malini, hanno introdotto l’evento ricordando che i “busker” (termine inglese che designa gli artisti che vivono grazie alle loro esibizioni nelle vie e piazze) sono stati perseguitati ripetutamente attraverso i secoli e che nei campi di morte nazisti molti di loro sono stati assassinati. “Le strade del mondo sono percorse ogni giorno da migliaia di ‘busker’ – hanno spiegato gli organizzatori – che rappresentano la più libera espressione dell’arte, della musica, della poesia, della cultura. Molti grandi movimenti artistici, fra cui l’Impressionismo, sono partiti dalla strada e anche oggi vi sono superstar come Benjamin Clementine la cui parabola è iniziata non nei templi della cultura, ma sotto il cielo, in città come Londra o Parigi”. Per gli artisti di strada, ha presenziato all’evento l’associazione culturale Sarabanda di Genova, mentre gli artisti Angelo Salvatore Baghino e Fabio Patronelli hanno portato la propria esperienza, che è quella di un’arte vicina ai fermenti di uguaglianza, libertà e progresso che attraversano la società. Lo stesso pensiero che anima Elena Boschieri di Artelier, che ha ospitato più volte l’arte di strada nella galleria che dirige. TouchArt International, EveryOne Group e Lavinia Dickinson Project hanno contribuito alla realizzazione del “presidio per l’arte di strada e la libertà”, mentre Domenico De Simone è stato presente durante l’happening in rappresentanza del Movimento Urbano Rete Artisti e dell’associazione “Il Cesto”. La disponibilità del locale Douce Pâtisserie Café è stata fondamentale per la realizzazione dell’evento in piazza. Roberto Malini ha presentato l’iniziativa, mentre al microfono il cantatore Renzo Bonissone ha proposto il suo brano più recente, dedicato alle popolazioni colpite dal sisma in Centro Italia, e alcune canzoni di notevole spessore artistico e civile. Hanno poi testimoniato la loro vicinanza ai “busker” di Genova i poeti Isabel Jimeno, Isabella Piazzetta, Steed Gamero e gli interpreti Gigi Picetti (che ha letto una sua poesia “rap”) e Alberto Carpanini, che in costume rinascimentale ha letto una pagina dalla commedia “La forchetta di Mastro Scappi”. I promotori dell’iniziativa hanno infine dialogato con un rappresentante dell’autorità cittadina che, riguardo ai recenti episodi che hanno visto l’allontanamento da via XX Settembre di una flautista russa, un gruppo musicale romeno e due giovani musicisti, ha spiegato che “Genova resta aperta agli artisti di strada e plaude alle iniziative che li sostengono”. Precisando però che “esiste un regolamento comunale che prevede vie e piazze adeguate alle performance ed altre che non lo sono. In particolare, via XX Settembre, con i numerosi esercizi commerciali, le vetrine e il nutrito passaggio di persone, non è stata inserita fra quelle in cui è consigliabile che gli artisti si esibiscano”. I “100 Mila Poeti” hanno ribadito, però, che è necessaria una maggiore apertura da parte delle istituzioni verso gli artisti di strada, soprattutto quelli che vivono grazie al contributo che perviene loro dalle performance all’aperto. “La sensazione finale,” dicono gli organizzatori, “è che il messaggio sia stato recepito e che in futuro vi sarà più accoglienza e disponibilità verso i ‘busker’ e le loro proposte artistiche”.
