A special event with 100 Thousand Poets for Change
curated by the Chicago Community Council 2017:
Laura Goldstein, Marcy Rae Henry, Jennifer Karmin & Kenyatta Rogers

On September 30, 2017, many poets around the world will make their voices heard. To declare the change they’d like to see most in the U.S. and throughout the international community, events are being staged worldwide as part of 100 Thousand Poets for Change. In Chicago, this night of poetry and activism is based on the theme Sign o’ the Times. Inspired by Prince’s song, local writers will address the complex struggles of our current times. Even faced with multiplying problems, people still want to live and thrive in the present moment.
