Invisible city is a place, yes. But it’s more than that, within these walls is a growing community. We are explorers, those who refuse to live a life at surface level. With allegations pouring out of the entertainment industry and beyond, more female politicians on the world stage than ever before, Oprah’s stirring Golden Globes speech, and the word “feminism” named as Merriam-Webster’s word of the year, The Women’s Movement is now more diverse and mainstream.
Men are increasingly becoming more vocal and aware of gender issues and finding ways to be active allies. “Women’s issues” are finally being seen as human issues that we need to address together.

Women are Rising.

“We hope that men will start to understand that they are the solution. We have an opportunity to educate men about how our collective socialization results in a culture that devalues women and ultimately allows many forms of violence and discrimination to persist and harms all of us.” -Ted Bunch, co-founder of A Call To Men

“For too long, women have not been heard or believed if they dare speak the truth…a new day is on the horizon. And when that new day finally dawns, it will be because of a lot of magnificent women…and some pretty phenomenal men, fighting hard to make sure that they become the leaders who take us to the time when nobody ever has to say ‘Me too’ again.” -Oprah Winfrey

The Evening Includes:
A Literary Salon and Conference Panel with Experts in a wide range of domains
Turkish, Arabic, Jazz and Soul Music and Poetry Performances by Award-Winning Artists
Exotic Mediterranean Appetizers by Savory Spice

According to RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) 321,500 victims (age 12 or older) of rape and sexual assault accumulate each year in the United States. Every 98 seconds, another person in America is sexually assaulted. So many wounds, so much violence, so much trauma-and yet the silencing of survivors, our unwillingness as a culture to really listen and witness to each other’s pain, means that trauma can inflict a double wound: crying out to be heard, only to be violated once more by those who turn away. It’s time to step up collective efforts to invite stories, listen, and not turn away; to hold space for the millions of survivors in our workplaces, schools, homes and communities. Because to witness and hear is to begin the work of individual and collective healing.

Moving to End Sexual Assault (MESA), a program of Mental Health Partners, has served since 1972 as the only rape crisis center in Boulder and Broomfield counties. MESA believes that every person has the right to live free of sexual assault, is moving to end sexual assault and the suffering it causes in our community, and challenges all forms of oppression in recognition of their connection to sexual violence. MESA offers client services, victim advocacy, and prevention education in English and Spanish. 24-Hour Hotline: 303.443.7300 Website: www.movingtoendsexualassault.org

Musical Ambassadors of Peace
travels the world to build cross-cultural bridges, honor and preserve indigenous musical traditions and help heal those traumatized by war. We sent 40 drums with our Musical Ambassador to Iraqi Kurdistan to provide healing energy for Yazidi women recently liberated from 2 years of enforced sexual slavery under ISIL. The neighboring Refugee Camps were inquiring: “Where are our drums? Where is our Musical Ambassador?” We are Fund-Raising Now to send our Musical Ambassador back to Northern Iraq for musical healing for liberated Yazidi women. “I had the privilege to work with amazing Yazidi women on the second anniversary of their genocide and help heal the wounds of war. “Dilkhwaz Ahmad, Musical Ambassador of Peace
