The Environmental Studies minor at the University of Mississippi, aided by some MFA students and faculty, is organizing events for September 28. Actually, also Sept 27.
Sept 27 at 7 p.m. we are showing “Before the Flood,” the environmental documentary narrated by Leonardo DiCaprio.
Sept 28 at 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. we are chalking poems on the U M campus and on the downtown Square.
Sept 28 at 5 p.m. we are hosting a poetry reading at which up to 20 people will each read one poem that has to do with peace, change, the environment, etc. at Off Square Books in Oxford, MS. All these activities are free and open to the public.
