100,000 Poets & Musicians for Change is an international poetry reading/music performance night organized by poet/songwriter/artist Michael Rothenberg. Events are happening locally all over the world that weekend calling for “change” (whatever change means to you). This is the 2nd annual event. I’d like to see some World Peace myself. For our night, the music will have a bigger sound than the last time I played the Bazaar. Deborah Crooks will be joined by members of her band, who might also sit in with me, and I’ve also invited singer/songwriter Paul Griffiths to bring his upright bass and play with me. Malaika will be presenting her poetry as well, which was very inspiring at my last show at the Bazaar. I bet it’s going to be a beautiful day that Saturday, leading into a fun night, so if you’re looking for something to do, get to the Outer Richmond early and take a walk at Lands End or Ocean Beach, and then come and join us at the cafe.

“If someone thinks that love and peace is a cliche that must have been left behind in the Sixties, that’s his problem. Love and peace are eternal.” — John Lennon
