We’ll be starting the concert with Judy Fjell’s appropriate round that goes
“One of us can make a difference,
Two of us form a committee,
Three of us start a movement
And the world is bound to change.
One, two three,
Loving thoughts and positive actions,
One, two three, oh
The world is bound to change…
“We had a successful Organic Women’s Chorus concert Saturday night with Occupella and other guests singing mostly about social, personal and natural change. We sang my “We’re tired of the cycles of boom and bust/We’ll occupy-pie, we’ll occupy/The dough is only rising for the upper crust…” and our leader Marianne Barlow’s “Swear by the moon, swear constantly/She’s ever-changing, as are we…” and others. We raised a heap of money for scholarships for Women Making Music camp and had a good time. Thanks for the opportunity to be part of something bigger. In the afternoon I caught a bit of the annual Watershed Poetry Festival in Berkeley’s Civic Center Park, which was announced as part of the 100,000 Poets for Change.
Here’s our audience.
And here’s the chorus in our tie-dye teeshirts, mostly made by us.
