On September 28, 2013, poets around the world will gather in a celebration of poetry to promote the change they want to see in the world, be it change involving social justice, the environment, education, politics, the environment, or their own personal growth. Please join us for local participation in this global movement at Visible Voice Bookstore in Tremont, Ohio. Your hosts for the event this year are Catherine Criswell and John Burroughs. Featured poets are SUSAN GRIMM, RA WASHINGTON, MIKE HEMERY, and STACIE LEATHERMAN. There will be an open mic following the featured poets. We encourage those attending to share poems or songs around the theme of positive change you’d like to see in the world. Photos and video of the event will be submitted to and archived by Stanford University, which supports this global movement as a historical event. Weather permitting, we will be in the courtyard. Wine, beer, and books are available for purchase at the store; a portion of the proceeds will be donated to a local charity. Peace & Poetry!
