“When the Pan has Cooled”

Starting at 19.00

in Tramvaiul 26

6 Cercului str.

“When the Pan has Cooled” is an evening of poetry in seven parts. Seven guests manage their moments on the rift between literature as domain of historical writing, and poetry as performing a presence.

Laurenţiu Ion (b.1991) published his first poetry collection in 2010, “Enough Peace for One War” (Humanitas Publishing House), then in 2014 “Ninety-One” (Publisher Tracus Arts)

Viku Zen published “To Love is No Verb” (Publisher Tracus Arts) in 2013 and is one of the few Romanian poets who write texts for performance.

Horia Serban and Claudia Văduvescu graduated from high school and just started University studies in art history and law.

Vali Stan is in 11th grade at St. Sava National College.

Vlad Viski studied Political Science at Central European University.

Each of them brings to the Saturday event texts on the idea of integration and involvement of poetry in contemporary social dialogue.

Razvan Tupa led the first four Bucharest meetings of the 100 Thousand Poets for Change network. Ţupa has published three collections of poetry. He launched “Poetics of the Quotidian, from Evenings of Literature in Motion to Republica Poetica” (Casa de Pariuri Literare Publishing House) this year.

“When the Pan Has Cooled” is part of 100 Thousand Poets for Change. This is the fifth year when Bucharest is one of the cities of the world that host simultaneous poetry events aimed to promote social change.
