Start packing your blankets, coolers, drinks, food, candles, drums and other instruments.

There is nothing on sale. Please come COMPLETELY self sustained, ready to share the blessings.

Please also bring a $3.00 donation for our host location, which includes free parking.
Parking is in the backyard area at the rear of the building. There are grill stations, so you can bbq if you like.

100 Thousand Poets & Musicians For Change: The Artist’s PlayDate.

Our history: Now, in its 6th year of existence, 100 Thousand Poets & Musicians for Change has evolved into a worldwide movement, with an annual global celebration on the last Saturday of September. Staged simultaneously in over 115 countries on average, with hundreds of individual events, numbers have been growing rapidly. The goal is to create an artistic platform to promote peace and sustainability.

The media: All documentation on the 100tpc.org website is preserved by Stanford University each year, which recognized 100 Thousand Poets for Change in 2011, as a historical event – the largest poetry reading in history.

Past venues: Cinema Paradiso in Fort Lauderdale, FL
RED Cafe in Hollywood, FL; Reggae On The Green and Megabite Chill Out Lounge in Hollywood, FL to name a few.

This year’s event:

As part of 100 Thousand Musicians & Poets’ worldwide annual celebration of art and unity, Hollywood/Ft.
Lauderdale organizers are presenting an alternative fresco mixer at a (venue, or a backyard, a place acceptable for a pot luck, fresh food making, seating, time freedom) conducive to live acoustic music, impromptu
performances, and an engaging, informal forum, which will further add to the evening’s highly cultural agenda.

Musicians and poets, together with visual artists, dancers, healers, activists, community leaders and educators unite to
bring change and make their voices heard about issues important to them, in an intimate gathering of community artists and their families. The idea is that when the artists can build a strong community together within themselves they can build a strong, thriving community worldwide.

The event is Saturday, September 24 at 8.30 pm until -.

To the Venues: Though this event is an intimate invite only event the audience contains bloggers, writers and organizers that will promote, photograph, post and publish at least 2 articles on the event for their respective new media outlets. 100 Thousand Poets & Musicians For Change is a 501(c) 3 not for profit organization. All donations, including use of venue space as a donation, is tax-deductible.
