100TPC – READ A POEM TO A CHILD / Day first
Më datën 26 shtator 2018 në bashkëpunim me shkollën private të gjuhëve të huaja Britannica School – Ferizaj, nën përkujdesin e drejtorit Blerim Hyseni si dhe profesoreshës Legjenda Rama, u lexuan poezi nga ndjekësit e kursit të gjuhës angleze – nxënës të moshës 11 – 12 vjecare. Ishte kënaqësi për mua të lexoj, disa poezi të përzgjedhura nga krijimtaria ime letrare, para tyre si dhe ata t’i lexojnë ato pastaj në anglisht. Falënderoj z. Blerimin si dhe znj. Legjendë për kontributin që dhanë në realizimin e këtij projekti që është në agjendën e 100 Mijë Poetëve për Ndryshime për vitin 2018. Falënderoj poashtu edhe fëmijet që shprehën interesim dhe lexuan poezi me kujdes dhe vëmendje.
READ A POEM TO A CHILD Day 2
My today’s class wasn’t a random one. Besides my scheduled plan for the class I had a very interesting guest, the poet Faruk Buzhala, just in the continuation of activities by 100 thousand Poets for Change with the motto “Read a Poem to a Child” which takes place in many countries worldwide where this organization is active. Our city’s poet presented some of his poems selected with the pupils (aged 7-12) where by means of communication we were able to analyze and understand the poems and we got some very interesting opinions by our pupils. To give an additional importance to this event, the poems were translated into English, so pupils were challenged with the writing style of modern poetry both in English and Albanian. It was really fascinating to present the poems and the writing style to children especially by the poet himself who together with the children read and commented verses one by one. Pupils were mostly impressed by the poem “Shtepia ime” or “My home” where the poet explained to the pupils that the home is like a human being: it breathes, laughs, cries, it’s new but it does get old just like we do etc. It was a real pleasure to be part of this event and I hope that in the future there’ll be more activities as such. A special thanks goes to Mr. Faruk Buzhala for presenting his poetry to me and my students.
