Virtual Writer House 100 Thousand Poets for Change (100 TPC) Global Event
on Saturday, September 26, 4:00- 6:00 PM EST.
Launched in 2011 with an email sent by poets/editors Michael Rothenberg and Terri Carrion to 90 poets in 100 countries, this grassroots international initiative has flourished into www.100tpc.org in creative solidarity for global uplift.
As a celebration of poetry in all forms, music, visual and performing arts as creative inspiration and unity, the only guideline required to read/perform at this event is that the content be focused on positive change relevant to peace, justice and environmental integrity.
Over 2,000 100 TPC events occurred in 2018 including the launch of #ReadAPoemToAChild literacy initiative introducing children to poetry. That initiative is scheduled for September 21-26, 2020.
Virtually beyond borders, we’ll join a community of poets, musicians, visual and performing artists and appreciators of creative expression in Mexico City, Mexico, Chicago, IL, Toronto, Canada, Sheboygan, WI , Santa Rosa, CA, Montreal, Canada, Nepal and many other locations.
