AMPERSAND presents a free evening of spoken word performance at Red Shift
……………………..……………………Calling all the Shapers of Culture,
the Workers for Change,
the Dreamers of Dreams…Join us as we host a free spoken word performance event by poets, artists, writers and comedians. Let us see how art and poetry can help create the kind of world we want to live in. There will be an open mic after our set for the audience to perform (or read) their original pieces which explore current social and political narratives.

In a city like ours where suffering is daily trivialized and freedom of speech is rare, creative expression can touch lives and bring about great transformation. We saw this for ourselves at our first show, where the audience responded with powerful pieces of their own as they shared personal experiences through poetry.

This is a historic event as artists all over the world are participating in this movement to bring change –
