100,000 Poets for Change. Our afternoon reading is part of an international event which will take place in many cities, in many villages and in the countryside all over the world, at the same time and date. The main website for “100,000 Poets for Change” is http://www.100tpc.org/. The first order of change is for poets to get together to perform, educate and entertain, simultaneously with others around the world, changing how we see our own community and the global community. Such an event ties in nicely with L.O.O.K: . Several poets are signed up to read in London: Jennifer Chesnut, Andreas Gripp, Tom Cull and Penn Kemp. Our blog report is on https://100tpcmedia.org/100TPC2012/category/canada/london-ontario/:

Documentation from our Sept. 29 2012 event is up on 100,000 Poets: https://100tpcmedia.org/,100TPC2012/2012/05/london-ontario-canada/

Penn Kemp’s show, Gathering Voices, CHRW FM 94.9 FM. A polyglot of poets read their poems to save the London woodland, as published in the PigeonBike Press pamphlet, “Trees or Jobs: It Should Not Be a Dichotomy”. Poets include Tom Cull, Andreas Gripp, Patricia Keeney, Penn Kemp, Susan McCaslin, Susan McMaster and R L Raymond from PigeonBike. With an intro. by Joni Baechler, Councillor. She writes: “I am so pleased that London poets have come together in a creative, collaborative project with the goal of protecting our natural environment. Heartwarming to my creative soul.” MP Irene Mathyssen writes: “When all the empty strip malls are falling down, we will still be missing our beautiful lost trees.” The poems are up on http://www.scribd.com/doc/150431112/Trees-or-Jobs.
